Although the debate rages on about what is considered a weekender (bed, table, rear-facing seat(s) or pop-top and cabinet as well) the one thing I think everyone agrees on is that it did NOT have the full kitchen with sink, stove, and 3-way refrigerator. So either someone added hookups for water and electric, or maybe had a full Westfalia and converted back to a weekender.
How many hook-ups does it have? Are they in the same place as where the three would be on the full Westfalia?

vw8716v,
We are a little confused what the power and water hook-ups are for. Do you have a stove and a sink? |

| ok heres the skivey. it doent have a sink but has a place for the water hookup on the outside and has a spot on the inside. but has seat belt where the driverside jump seat would have been with storage( but its not there). so that means no sink would have been ther from factory since the belt is there. has power hook up on outside and regular plug at bottom of back seat. but not fridge or anything of the sort. weekender would have had fridge behind pasenger seat but i see no place for it. this is where im at .....stumped!! is there a way to look up the vin or the westly number? |

| Not stock at all. Someone did some funny stuff to it. Might not be all bad though. Electric and water insde the van aren't a bad deal, so long as they aren't mixed. |

Are the water and electric hookups the stock westy ones?
It kind of sounds like your van used to be a stock full westy, but the previous owner may have converted it into a "weekender".
If you could post some pictures, it would tell the story for sure. |

| I don't know about Vanagon Weekenders, but my '73 Weekender had the power hookup and a 110v socket at the base of the jump seat, IIRC. It may have been under the bench... I never used the shore power so I can't remember. The '73 would have had an ice box on the passenger side, opposite the jump seat but that was MIA when I bought it. No sink, just the box. Also no water hookups. |
