Well I decided to install my drop spindles this lovely Sunday morning and now the backing plate doesn’t fit properly. Meaning the large hole in the center of the backing plate does not fit flush against the spindle. The stock spindles have a half moon notch towards the rear to clear the brake cylinder area which is not the case on my drop spindles; therefore, It kicks it out about an 1/8” Do I need a different backing plates?
Thanks in advance Eddie (813) 624-4713 |

You need to relieve the spindle or the backing plate to make it fit.
What brand spindles are they? |

| Well I decided that my only option was to grind the spindle for the clearance needed for the backing plate. The good news is that very little grinding was needed at the end of the day. |
