is anyone from the modesto area driving up on saturday to Bug-o-rama? myself and 3 other cars will be leaving turlock around noon or so just checking to see if anyone else is driving up around that time or sooner, would be nice to be in a large caravan

responding to the dude that posted this, im from turlock, but im leaving around 8. i hit the swaps, and if you dont leave till noon, well. all the good shit gets picked up.

if you choose to go earlier hit me up. i have a buddy with a bus that might be going, but i have to give him a head start, cause he drives extremely slow.

If you re-read his post, it looks like he's leaving Saturday. And everyone knows that Saturday is when all the good shit gets picked up! :D

oh. now that i reread that, it makes more sense.

yeah i have heard that most of the good stuff gets snatched up on saturday, but am never able to head up there that early. i guess i just take the chance of getting what i get on sunday morning.

I thought the swap booths did not open until Sunday at like 8AM?

swap opens when the gates open saturday afternoon. 2pm i think.

I think I will still just go Sunday. One less day of getting burned by the sun and hot ass concrete.

Although they say high 80s on Sunday so that is sweet!

and miss the campout? just stop by walmart or the roseville auction on your way down and pick up a big straw hat. :lol: supposed to be low to mid 90's saturday and mid 80's sunday

There is rarely anything better on Saturday than Sunday. Don't bother. :)

Seriously though, a lot more swappers show up Sunday AM anyway.

In May the best stuff I bought was on Sunday from people that were not there on Sat. or from people who were there on Sat. but didn't put everything out until Sunday.

just got back. had a blast. beautiful weather.

the 500 dollar westy ran like a champ and was great to sleep in.

found lots of little odds and ends i needed either free of almost free.
