I had ran across this notch in another forum. I thought some of the new Notch enthusiasts would like to see a car that was built 20+ years ago. And still looks like a resto custom of today. This car had the 944 rear disc brakes among other cool sought after parts. If I remember correctly every bolt and latch was Cad plated also. This car was NOS before NOS meant unobtainable. I had met Dave a couple years after this car was featured in hot VW's. But I have come to realize that Dave had some great ideas and resources (working at Russ' VW recycling in Irwindale) The last time I had spoken with him he was crashing cars for the insurance companies and building model T's.

I met him a couple years ago when he bought a set of BRMs from me.
He has a nice Double Cab that was in the magazines a few years ago and several other VWs.
In high school I used to read and re-read that article over and over. |

And the inevitable question:
Where is it now? |

| I believe it was sold to a Japanese buyer. |
