ok so I ordered the fuel injection lines from o'rielys they say it will be here monday. go pick it up look at the "FI" lines.... there isn't any copper in the line as you all have suggested! it looks like there is something in there (not metal) it is white? I told them I didn't want it. I did want to ask ya'll about this though.
Is there another place I can go and get the copper lined FI hose? today? or will the ones at ORIellys work?

Keep in mind that I live in Houston and there isnt VW shops here. Do you thing a VW dealer would sell me some? I just thought of that.

Copper lined?

FI hose will be fabric reinforced. If you look at the cut end, you will see a circle of cords that run lengthwise through the rubber, about half way between the outside and inside diameters.

But no copper. It's a nice, flexible, rubber hose. If it is less than $2 a foot I'd be suspicious. If there is a Mercedes Benz dealer nearby, try to buy the hose clamps from them. They have real nice smooth edged clamps for 7 millimeter fuel injection hose. Try not to use parts store clamps.
