| Finally after a couple yrs searching i brought home my long awaited WESTY. Its a 88 full camper with seems like all the lttle(?) extras. not familiar with westys but its a no ruster,1 small ding, good canvas & clean interior. I think the paint is called ORLY blue,a medium shade , i tried a spot & buffs out very nice. Didnt know they came with both seats that swivel . ONE thing is i tried to start ,been sitting for a yr -tags had runout and fuel pump dont cycle (cant hear). i read my bently for over an hour & WHERE IS THE DAMN PUMP LOCATED. would u know as soon as i got it home it has been raining & supposed to for the nex.t 3 days. cant wait to get on this puppy & on the road. And the best part for last was when i asked thed price was $895.00 including roll back fee to get home. Was he ever out of the loop to my benefit. guess the blind hog finally found that acorn. |

Welcome to the Funny Farm! You poor, doomed, soul....
Replace all your fuel lines and the plastic firewall fitting.
Replace all your fuel lines and the plastic firewall fitting.
Replace all your fuel lines and the plastic firewall fitting.
Replace all your fuel lines and the plastic firewall fitting.
Replace all your fuel lines and the plastic firewall fitting.
Replace all your fuel lines and the plastic firewall fitting.
Replace all your fuel lines and the plastic firewall fitting.
You are the proud, happy owner of a beautiful Westy and you are clearly in love and excited. DON'T LET YOUR BEAUTIFUL BLUE BABY BURN!
I should note that Winston's P.O. replaced all his fuel lines not long before I bought him. I still inspect 'em. A lot. I've got too much love and effort into this Van to let it do the funeral pyre thing.
Best! |

Looked like you said $895.00 - You clearly meant $8,950.00 right??? If not now, then over the years...... 8)
Might wanna return that good karma to another searching soul down the road.....

I couldn't have done it.
:? :?
It would've felt too much like finding a wallet with 7000 in it. You put the cash in your pocket, and then you GLOAT over taking advantage of your brother (or sister).
....oh but ain't it fun. |

Definitely. Check your tires - write down all the information, then use the search and go to the tire threads. Get completely confused about whether or not your tires are adequate or if the right tires even exist anymore, then post a thread about how you aren't sure, then we'll come in and give you completely conflicting information about whether or not you are ok with the tires you have.
Welcome to the club. Theres nothing like 'em! |

Morybob, I ain't mad at ya.... I got my 83.5 GL from the O.G. Owner for $400.00 and 2 Liters of A&W Root Beer. Waited 6 months for a deal and guess I found one. Looks like you came up as well. Enjoy and enjoy some more. Then sometime, when you are at a gas station and some poor out of work, out of luck man or woman says: "Can you spare a few gallons of gas?" You'll know if it is legit.... Go ahead and kick down for the person. That's what keeps the circle intact for all of us.
WAY TO GO Morybob!!! |
