View original topic: Momo steering wheel adapter

My Ghia was made in April 74 but it has a 24mm nut on the steering wheel. I am trying to order a Momo adapter but they sell them 6/74 and earlier and 7/74 and later. I thought the 24mm nut and smaller spline were added later that April 74.

Use the VIN to make the determination:

1442353464 & earlier have larger splines on
the steering column, while 1442353465 and onward
have the smaller splines as OG.

Thanks Vince, My Ghia Vin is 1442667997 so it is the correct (smaller) spline.
The bigger spline adapters are hard to find so this is good news. I found a shop locally that sells the adapter and will report back on how it fits.

The Mo-8010 adapter works. Just make sure you have the 24MM nut or use the VIN info above. Goodbye big ass wheel that keeps hitting my knees!

Hey- My ghia is only 24 cars younger than yours...where did your ghia start off its life?

Abilene Texas. I am only the third owner. It resides in Cocoa Florida now.

Mine was adopted from a junk yard in Jax Beach Florida 1986. It's in soCal now enjoying the dry air and sunshine. 8)
