My search found several topics on these windows but I couldn't find or missed this one. Installed new rubber about two months ago. The windows do not close tight on the bottom, leaving about a 1/4" to 3/8' gap. The top seals just fine. Rubber is from Mid-America. Thanks. Just a thought, has anyone ever seen a frame that just permanently seals these windows?

| Maybe your vertical post at the front of the window is out of adjustment. If you pull back the rubber at the top/front of the window post, there is a screw up in there that you can loosen to adjust the window forward/backward to eliminate the gap at the rear of the window. |

Thanks. |

| It's tough to adjust those things and get them to seal right. I think the aftermarket seals available are just a little off. I never got mine 100% perfect, but you should be able to get them better than that pretty easily by doing what ovalboy suggested. You may want to get a helper as it is hard to keep that thing lined up properly by yourself and tighten the screw. The seals are pushing against you. |

| I have a similar problem ('73 Coupe), except for me it's the bottom edge of the glass that doesn't seal. The back of the glass rubs on the aluminum peace just a touch, and pushes nicely into the rubber, but along the bottom edge of the glass there is a slight (1/16~1/8 inch) gap. Is this normal? Do I need to scape out the old glue from the pinch groove to keep the glass from touching the frame? |
