Hey Guys (and Gals)
Anybody know a source for the link pin washers? The ones on my 64 look pretty beat up and I'm having a serious camber issue with the right side. The left wheel is dead level measured top to bottom. The right side is in about an inch at the bottom. I assume I can move the washers around to correct this? Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

By the way, keep in mind that all the washers as you install them based on the offset chart, is set up the spindles to match the offset of your trailing arms. It won't correct for a bent beam, bent spindle, etc.

When you measure the distance from those trailing arm faces, it MUST be with in tolorance on he chart!
If it's off the chart, something is bent. It could be the spindle, the trailing arm, the beam, or all of the above. Inspect things CLOSELY. You want to make sure you correct the problem by replacing what needs to be replaced without throwing too many parts or $ at it.
in other words, before replacing the spindle, make sure the arms are straight. Or before replacing the arm, make sure the beam is straight. |
