I agree, how can you wear a tshirt if you weren't there? it's like a pin or dash plaque to a show, you put in your vehicle, but you were never there?
stingah2wife. got to make it to get a tshirt...

wickedwater@msn.com Sun Sep 28, 2008 6:19 pm

I suggest to sell only to people at the show until they run out. If there are any left then sell them to people that weren't there. Just saying, if I drive 600 miles to a show it would be nice to purchase the event show shirt before they are sold out.

damn....you bitches are harsh! what if i simply cant make it??? the campground gets super busy because of the ballonn fest...people travelling through to get there and back...we are the next stop either way....

you know what...ill steal tonys(topbuds)...my boobs will stretch it way beyond capacity but hey...desperate times call for desperate measures!

I'm just trying to entice you to call in sick for the weekend...

Also, a side bonus I found out today: The Albuquerque Arts & Crafts festival is the same weekend and is really really close by.

wickedwater@msn.com Sun Sep 28, 2008 7:26 pm

I'm not trying to be harsh, it would just suck to go to such a great event and not be able to get a shirt.

^^^That's how right there^^^

We screen printers have a saying/sales pitch... "You know, it's not really an event without a T-shirt"

Heck I got mine already so what do I care? HA! Just kidding.

Sorry didn't mean to stir the pot posting like that but it is a cool shirt and I felt like sharing.

So go to the show and get your shirt ...damnit!

is the Arts n Crafts show a bike riding distance? if not we might have to derig the bus to go, or maybe bum a ride

wickedwater@msn.com Mon Sep 29, 2008 7:54 pm

JD, PM me your cell phone number. The best place for you to meet up with us is in Springerville at 8:00 AM on Friday. We eat breakfast at a cafe/restraunt there and then get gas. I don't know the name of the place but send me your number and then I'll send you mine. So it might be best to get a room in Show Low or Springerville Thursday night, unless you are driving straight through. Let me know.

PM sent.

Nice talking to you salty dog, look forward to meeting you on Friday.

Update for the Yuma caravan. We now have 5 buses from Yuma and picking up one in Mesa for a total of six. Anyone else want to sign up for the Albuquerque field trip? Let us know. I hope the Land of Enchantment is ready for our yearly pilgrimage!

Albuquerque Air Alliance, thnaks for such a great event during the perfect time of the year.

Nice talking to you too Andy. Looks like we will be meeting you all on Friday morning. The wife and I are very excited that we are finally going to this Event. I will try and video as much of the trip there and back as it sounds as if it's going to be a blast. See ya early Friday am.

Go to the show...

Quote: That shirt is bad ass!!

Thanks EZ... I try.

The "white" is discharged and the black is "softened". they feel very, VERY soft.... no sweat patches here boooooy. Kind of like Cinco de Drinko shirts Das.

I hope Louass doesn't mind me posting up but....oh well

Wish I was going but hey, I got the T shirt

I just wanted to add that I just moved stuff around and slapped the ink on those shirts. Bay window Georges' daughter (I don't even know her name  ) did the actual drawings of the bus/balloons and they are awesome.

also... sorry for posting it up Lou, it's just soooo cool.

Yes. It's a little over a mile to the arts and crafts festival.

Her name is Tera Sieber. She's definately got skills!

This is funny stuff.

All this smack talk about shirts, and there are two full boxes of these kick ass shirts in my living room. Doug did an AWESOME job with these. Thanks to Tera for the artwork.

Here's the teaser for the front of the shirt.
We'll have matching pins of the back of the shirt, as well.

I know this isn't a VW item, but I'm working the final details for getting a mini-motorcycle donated for the raffle. It's a gas powered crotch rocket. i'll try to take a picture. Maybe i can stir up as much excitement as the Jerome raffle bus!! yeah, right.

salty dog Sat Oct 04, 2008 6:04 pm

I'd look kinda funny riding that thing back to Arizona.

Stitch Sun Oct 05, 2008 9:52 pm

WOW... I haven't been on Samba for a LONG time  Just wanted to say I am getting excited about hanging out and camping with all our friends! You guys drive safe! I will be there pre-camping like always as of Thursday night and I think Mike too... Looks like a great time this year! See ya by the campfire! :D

salty dog Mon Oct 06, 2008 11:52 am

Millie and I are all packed up and ready to go. We will be staying in Show Low on Thursday evening and meeting up with the Yumans in Springerville on Friday morning for breakfast. Can't wait! 8)

TopBud Mon Oct 06, 2008 1:42 pm

A few days away. The VW is already packed. I can't wait until Friday. That is when I am leaving at 1:00 p.m.
