The Yumans are spazzed out and ready for this one, as always! Just can't wait to get on the road through the forests, squeeze in some camping and such. See you all soon!

Are we there yet? :lol: Can't wait until tomorrow night, get home, shower and on the road to Show Low for the night and meet with the Yumans on Friday morning. I am so glad we are finally getting to attend.

The weather out here is absolutely beautiful. There is a crisp chill in the AM and PM, but gorgeous, as always, during the day.

I have some Balloon Fieast tickets to give away for the actual festival grounds (usually $6/each)- i might have 2 pairs left over. I want to give them to some out-of-towners, so holler when you get here. Parking is $10 at the site. However, we can probably send a car load and do a drop-off- it's not far at from where we camp.

The mini-motorcycle is comfirmed and it's in my garage. I could actually lift it and put in the trunk by myself- it comes with it's own large duffle bag. Maybe we can all test drive it before the raffle- or set up an obstacle course!

brand new barrell bbq with thermometer
brand new weber-like small charcoal bbq
a 6-pack beer belt 8)
some VW dealership swag and toys (thanks, showdizzle and co.)
limited amount of VW parts (we need more, so bring stuff)
VW artwork
dental supplies (teeth whitening kits, etc)
a bunch of random tshirts from other VW events and some local stuff (of course)
and the club is going to purchase some gas cards. woo hoo
2 wedding dresses (one valued over $1000, another about $500, which can be exchanged for other wedding dress or tuxedo at "Budget Bridal Shop Alterations").
vintage camping thermos set
more restaurant gift certificates
hopefully a bug tow bar
a LARGE JAR OF PICKLES
and a ton of random give away items: tshirts galore, expandable coolers, etc!

We'll also be selling the rest of last year's shirt for $5. There's quite a few left in all sizes. Also, pins for this year and from a few years ago. Kewl.

Oh yeah- if you have a big wheel or ticycle, bring it along for the tricycle races after the slow drags! (remember Revenge of the Nerds?)

Everybody, please drive safely, and enjoy the NM landscape as you cruise in. Don't forget Gallup, NM, on I-40 is usually 20 degrees cooler than Abq.

We're all really excited to see our friends and to have a great time.

Looks like we lost one Yuma bus due to mechanical problems and lack of time to repait it. It's Bills bus, but he is still coming and riding with the very charming and studly Jim Burnite.

As of today, it looks like three VW's from Flagstaff will be heading East. We will be leaving Flagstaff at 1:00 p.m. so will be there at dark thirty or somewhere near that. If any one is passing through Flagstaff around that time, we can all hook up. I am super excited to finally make this event. This week feels like it is never ending.

Hey guys/gals, If I show up Saturday morning will I be able to bring my bus into the show area or does she have to sit out in the parking lot...with all the boring cars?

well we are officially going to have to miss thisone...i am bummed :( justins engine from the singlecab is laying on the ground and i am having severe compression and power issues in the westy...it would take me all weekend to get there.... have fun guys....hopefully we will see you at busses by the bridge. travel safe folks and have a great time! We will be thinkin of you :)

Is it 5:00pm yet? Thank God I am busy at the shop and the time is flying by. Leave right after work and meet with the Yumans in the am. WOOO HOOO, we're going to Albuquerque! :D

Just got home for a sec from pre-camping last night to pack some more and head back out. Me and the kids got up and since the balloons were heading north... so did we. It was a perfect plan! We got north of the field just in time to watch a ton of special shape balloons land and then as the next wave of hundreds of balloons took off they flew abouve and all around... IT was a PERFECT morning :D Now home for some breakfast, last min. details, and then back to B&B , we had a good group last night! Hope to see ya out there , .... the weather is GREAT! :twisted: LOL 8)

FREE FOOD TONIGHT! Oh and the firworks show last night was sweet! Another one tonight too! :wink: Looking forward to seeing our outta town friends and those in town for some kick back hanging out good times :wink:

What a GREAT time we had a busses & balloons this year! Totally chill and kicked back. I want to thank everyone that came out for the event, especially our out of state friends that showed up in force. You guys rock! Thanks also need to go out to LouASS for busting your behind to make this thing a success again. You ROCK!

It was great seeing old friends as well as making some new ones. I already can't wait for next year!
