I think Gilbert does every night doesnt he... in his car?

Fergus bring the sky king out............not enough trucks come out. Unfortunately Gilbert wrecked his house/car at the state fair demolition derby...........we were able to find him a new refrigerator box out back of Spencers however.

Great show today. Weather was supposed to be in the 80s but it felt pretty hot, maybe in the low 90s by noon/1pm?

I took about 70 vehicle photos and will post them soon. Hopefully some other people will post too.

I didn't hear about any exciting swap meet finds by anyone. I found an early Bus gas cap for $3, I think that qualifies as my swap find of the day.

A lot of really nice cars there, possibly more than last year?

volksworker Mon Nov 03, 2008 1:05 am

Nice photos Everett. It was a good day, got a little warm but could have been much worse. I think we had 155 cars in the show and 10 entries not actually participating in the show so it was about 165 cars altogether. It was really nice to see such nice cars show up like Carolyns new vert and the fridolin. many other super nice cars . Swap was pretty big, I thought there were some deals.........og safaris, some radios, some 356 generator cores. Karls thanks all who took time to bring out their cars. Thanks to the swappers and everyone who left the place really clean....we do appreciate it. Thanks to the many volunteer helpers, the D3 guys and other car show judges.

Everett did you buy the orange Empi Sportster buggy? Its in good shape and they are rare.

EverettB Mon Nov 03, 2008 9:22 am

I posted the rest of my photos late last night.

I did not buy the Sportster. I don't know if Andy from Yuma sold it or not.

It was a great day. Fine show, nice turn out, good weather, great cars, good swap, super people, and good judges (I got a 1st.) even if I don't know who all of them were. I only had one item on my shopping list and found it in the first 100 feet going down the alley.

Thanks everyone involved with putting the event on.

Desertbusman Wed Nov 05, 2008 12:40 am

The yellow one. Maybe it was the only one in the class

volksworker Thu Nov 06, 2008 12:56 pm

No, there were a few others in that class............your car was the best.
