I know this topic has been put out a lot, but I can't find any really specific answers. I got a baja that I torsion lifted in the rear and put adjusters on the front. I was thinking about running 30x10 on the rear and measured to my torsion tube and noticed that the tires my hit it. Will they fit? I don't have them yet. I plan on upgrading suspension as I break it (diagonal arms, long travel, etc., down the road) but want something that will fit for now. I have a set of 15x7 rims right now I'd like to use. Any suggestions for what will perform good and fit for the fronts and the backs? Thanks.

30x9.5s are the safe road. 31s rub on the front with a stock front end and are too close for comfort on the rear.

Shop I work at has a rail with completely stock rear suspension and a 31x10.5 that clears with like 1/2". Depending on what you're running on(sand, rock, trails, etc) I would maybe consider it.

So does everybody think that 30x9-9.5 will fit a stock bug with a torsion turn rear lift, baja fenders, and adjustable front beam? Should I go a little narrower on the front? Is it customary to have a little smaller tire on the front? This is my first baja. I've been researching and working on it on and off for about nine years. (through a divorce :( ) I'm finishing it now, hopefully within a few weeks. I will later end up doing long travel. I just don't want to blow off a fender or something.

30x9.50x15 tires on 7" rims rear
7.00x15 tires on 4.5" rims front
Stock motor and trans. Pulls fine. You don't need a fat tire up front. There is no weight up front and it's not a drive axle.

I ran 31/10.50-15's all around for awhile. They were worn when I got them, I doubt new ones would clear.
I just replaced the rears with 30/10.50-15's on 8" wide rims, no clearance issues at all. Here's what I'm running for the rocky and muddy trails, no sand at all. Super Swamper TSL Radials

I run 30X9.50 on the rear with 7 inch wheels with a small lift and they come to about 1mm or so from hitting my baja fenders :( .On the front i have 30X7.00 on 6 inch wheels, they don't hit the fenders but it rubs on the pan lip near full turn but the tread depth is almost 1 inch  .I have already tweaked the lip so im just gonna cut it off.And 30X9.50 should be fine on the rear but for the front i would go with 29X7.00 so they don't rub

Thanks for the suggestions. I found some 30x9.50's used. Wildcat EXTs for $25 each. I can't remember the size for the fronts but they fit good.
