I just turned 17 so money is tight this might take awhile.
got my bug 2 or so years ago when it was stock 68 3speed auto irs

the black 1 before the cutting

then i took it out and broke the 3 speed auto
got a free 4 speed tranny with a free 1600dp :D and then installed a class 11 cage.

so now I finally got some of the stuff I need to START my REAL BAJA.
I have my 6" wider beam for coilovers ,fiberglass front 1 piece ,class 5 rear torsion housing , 3x3s ,bus tranny , rear disc brakes ,930cv stubs ,ect...

this is what im starting with its not much now but it will be!

Its not what you have but how well you can drive it off road! Looks like you have been busy. When does the skid plate go on? Things can get real nasty without one.

KrAzY-BaJa Mon Oct 27, 2008 8:34 pm

some more cage work :D
the bar that crosses on the back/shock mount bar are tacked because a 28gal fuel cell needs to be installed first

You might want to check how you installed your 3x3's because in these pictures you have them backwards.

busk Mon Oct 27, 2008 10:07 pm

just curiuos how can you tell?

GhiaBateman Tue Oct 28, 2008 5:37 am

You see where the springplate bolts to the arm mounting plate? WELL that slight angled face on the mounting plate needs to "slope" up and NOT down towards front of car.

The mounting plate should be have the longer edge on top... those arms NEED to be swapped... that longer edge is on the bottom and will create some headaches with camber issues.

busk Tue Oct 28, 2008 9:20 am

thanks for clearing that up for me

KrAzY-BaJa Wed Nov 12, 2008 2:26 am

well it rained and the moisture in the air made the cage get a little rusty so started more cage work WooHoo, got the tranny in and through the 3x3s on and put the discs and tire on (no bearings installed)

and one question whats the easiest way to put the stock bearing into the 3x3s?

KrAzY-BaJa Mon Nov 17, 2008 12:53 am

just got a 33 to put on with centerlines
