View original topic: No Weld Front Bumper?

Is there a bolt-on one that exists? Everything I'm finding requires welding and I don't have a welder. Can be either single or double tube, doesn't matter.

25 years ago I had a 'no-weld' bumper on my 65 baja. The lower mounts bolted to the lower beam bolts, and the upper mounts to the shock towers, but I haven't seen one of those in years...

I have the same issue. I have a weld on bumper, but no welder. Luckily I know a buddy who has one, so I will just use his. All the ones I've found that are bolt on are pretty crappy ones, so good luck.

Isnt there a welding shop somewhere nearby?
15 or 20 bucks and they will weld on the mount parts...... Or maybe invest in a cheap welder for the other things that you will eventually want to weld on your Baja. :)

I agree, buy a welder even if its a cheap one you will need it, besides, then you can make your own.

I would love to buy a welder, but right now it just isn't hapnin. I'd also like a tubing bender, but that really isn't happening! For the mean time I'll probably just have to take it to a shop to have tabs welded on.

That's what I did before I bought my welder. I bolted the tabs to the bumper, and bolted the lower mounts to the beam. Drove it over to the nearest muffler shop, and they welded it on in about 5 min. Cost me $10.
