Have you ever had to Google Map the show information? If we had the button would you use it?

Hay Everett... is it even possible to get a "Map it" button for the shows in the "Events" section? Just a thought...

I have looked up show addresses on Google Maps, if that is your question.

I would have to make a field for the full show address and even then I am not sure it is possible.

Sorry Ev, but I was trying to post a poll... having never done it before, I pressed the option buttons instead.

If you could manage this it would cut out some of the hassle, (not that it is a lot). Often those that are posting the show info do not include a zip, or cross-streets, or even clear directions. I have seen you change the way that some of the searches work, and I have also seen you add buttons in the past... I think that a "map it" button would be a nice addition to an already really cool site.
I know you rock anyway Ev, but thanks for the site.

vw-shows.com has a Frapper map for shows. It doesn't give street addresses on the map, but it is helpful in figuring out where the show is. The organizer has to list it on the map though. There is usually an email address or other contact information on the show listing. The organizer can usually give you more detailed info.

I added a "full address" field to the Show submittal form today, which will display a link to Google Maps if a show address or other Google-readable address is entered.

As you would expect, most of the shows will not have a link since it was not entered but I updated a few of the upcoming shows so you can see how it looks and works.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Everett, I feel fortunate to be one of those that have been able to influence that way that TheSamba is able to bring Volkswagen enthusiests together...

Thank you for considering my suggestion.

Ev, you knew that you rocked before I made mention of the fact. Thanks, again, for the killer site.
I look foreword to donating to TheSamba, once I am able to sell one of the two VW's that I have up for sale here:
The 58' bug, and the 87' Wolfsburg.

Thanks, but "no"-thanks for your help, really. I just find that the new Google button is way easier to sift thru the pigs and lipstick, and much more detailed, when speaking of the issues, than what I found in the link that was provided by howiesfamily.

I've noticed new show listings have been putting in the addresses. It seems to be working pretty well, except in case where people do not put true addresses or valid cross streets that Google can interpret.
