Today while removing everything from the pan for powder coating, I noticed that there were no front calipers. I'm up grading the engine to a 2275, and I'll be running all the stock trim on the car(heavy). Should I find stock calipers, or should I upgrade? If I upgrade, what should I up grade to?? Thanks Doug S

Did the car have drums, or just no brakes at all?

I ask because I thought 69's all had front disc brakes...

When I bought the car it was incomplete. I thought it was just the drive train that was missing, but it seems now that the front brakes were canabalized as well. I'll be needing a complete front brake set-up. Since I want to drop the front a bit, I'm thinking that a kit that has the drop spindles, rotors and calipers. The backing plates that I removed were in poor condition as well. I'm hoping that some of these pieces can be purchased from wrecking yards, or here on the classifieds.

I have the front brakes off a 74 if your interested. They are off of a parts car I had and were working when removed. They are pretty heavy so shipping would be high but ill sell them cheap. I should have the spindle, bearings, rotors, calipers, ect....

If you actually have a 69 pan, you should also be able to buy all new parts - rotors, calipers complete with pads, hoses, etc.
