Ive been thinking about cutting out my "L shaped" cargo area and running a piece of steel diaganolly.

Anyone done this? or maybe I should just measure and remake a L shape and drop it in and (rivet/bolt/weld?) it in.

I guess were both krazy then. Ive had this idea for months, but im learning to fab so im gonna do it.

Is yours removeable or is that a before pic?

what i would do is cut out the top part of the luggage rack and leave about an inch on all sides so you can make a removable cover that you can fasten in and out for access.

I think im gonna make mine bolt in, and weld nuts to the back of some L angle (frame around the hole).

When I bought mine there was a gaping hole where the fire wall once was. I made bucks to form the right and left panels. The plan was to hold the center with DZUS fasteners for better access to the transaxle but it ended up being welded in. Sorry about the sand. I couldn't find the good picture.
