If you're putting big tires up front, you don't want a small steering wheel. I have a 13-inch wheel right now, and I'm gonna move to 15 or even 17 soon. Small wheels just increase the effort to turn your big tires. Just my $.02...

I purchased a 13" Grant wheel and added a quick disconnect. The wheel itself was only $80. Very comfortable, and affordable, I like it like that

That's the wheel I have, and while I like it, I'd like a slightly larger one.

Look on JEGS or SUMMIT Racing for steering wheels, there are literally hundreds available. Don't limit your self just to Baja/Buggy sites.....

I use a 12 inch wheel in both my FG buggies with slightly larger the stock width tires and after a while it make your arm s tired if you do a lot of turning.... The reasoning for small wheel is for entry and exit to buggy... IF you have lots of room on full bodies car stay with larger wheel... Or if you want small wheel, consider adding power steering...

i'm no fatboy, so i just kept the stock vw wheel and put some foam padding and taped it up w/ black electrical tape "nascar style"

one of my 1st mods was to replace the stock wheel with a 13". I ended up braking it recently & found a stock wheel off a 68? to me the difference is huge. no more ripping the wheel out of my hands on bad ruts, I can grip the wheel a lot lighter with less fatigue, & its just a lot nicer to steer with the lighter effort. i will never go back to a small wheel. this is on a baja bug with 215 tires up front. my $.02

I went from a 13" wheel to a 15", Now it feels like I have power steering.

I made a quick diconnect set up that replaces the regular nut and lock washer that holds the steering wheel adapter on and the 1/4" plate on the splined adapter with the holes locks it in place buy bolting to where you would normaly bolt the steering wheel in place. If I were to make a new one today I would put multi holes in it so I would not have to tighten it so tight. The steering wheel is from "Speedway Motors" , I think I payed $38.00 for it, It is aluminum and very light, I dont know how long it would stand up to heavy offroad use but it was great in my autocross 510.
