I hope to be getting my engine installed this week finally. I just changed over the tin from the Taiwan stuff to some junkyard German,
I have the rear deflectors to install but figured I would post what I have so far.
I scored a hoover bit today from my local shop for only $5, genuine VW with no cracks. I have all of the cooling flaps and thermostat installed.
The engine compartment is coming along nice,
I still have to get the insulation on the wheel wells but thats for tomorrow.
The new transmission and the Berg mount are all ready to go as well as new seals in the engine compartment,
I will post when I get further along. |

| Your car is looking great! I'm jealous, that engine is sweet! You gotta get that thing running before it starts to rain! (For the next 9 months! ) |

I pray it's not just me but is there anything quite as satisfying as seeing an engine with all of the correct tins in place?
The transaxle looks awesome too BTW. What is the transaxle? Stock? FF? ProStreet? give us the scoop on that clean lookin' puppy! |

Jeff:
Its not just you. I had a few pieces missing on my car when I bought it - one delfector and the pipe for the tube to the air cleaner. The other deflector was completely loose and ready to fall off, which is probably what happened to the one on the driver's side.
They probably chucked the tube putting on the header. It makes you crazy! |
