Im just wondering if anyone else has done this? I live in vancouver and my 73 super was in "miracle" and this TV movie called "taken" and my 57 was in a recently in another movie I dont recall the name of. It netted around 500 bucks each time which is fairly decent. Anyone in popular cities like hollywood that get their bugs used in sets?

Taken was a mini series (10 parts) and It was awesome. Do you know what part it was in? What scene(s)?

I'd put mine in a movie but there isn't much outdoor filming here unless it's set in the past (Old West).

A good friend of mine has a 54 Merc that was in the movie Peggy Sue got Married. He tried to watch his car like a hawk, but the production company assured him that his car would be fine, and kept pushing him off set. But the production company really didnt take very good care of his car. He had a period accessory steering wheel cover that they cut off and removed. They also put this baby powder type dust all over the car (to cut down on the glare while on camera) that got all over everywhere including the interior. He said that if he had to do it again he would pass.

My old '59 Judson Beetle was filmed for a Discovery Channel documentary "Ultimate Cars" in 2004.

I was at a local VW Show at Southsea, Hampshire, UK when the film crew arrived looking for a suitable Beetle...just lucky I suppose.

I managed to keep my ugly mug out of the pictures but I never managed to catch the screening. What pisses me about it was all my mates saw it, even had an email from a mate in Brazil who saw it on The Discovery Channel on Brazilian TV. :(

I'm up in Squamish...I'd love to hear how I'd get my car "on a list".

Our old 63 sunroof was used in the movie Tin Men. Watched that film 100 times and never saw the car.

So it wasn't the black Beetle that kept catching Richard Dreyfuss' eye,
Then at the end of the movie, when the siding company gets put out of business.
Richard Dreyfuss says he going to sell those things (referring to the Beetle), and Danny Divito says no, they're pieces of crap.
