| If I get a VW bug that has a ball joint front end I can convert it to a baja with little to no trouble no matter what year it is long as its not a supper beetle? |

Some people might frown on cutting up an oval or split window, but the ball joint beam is the perfect candidate.
Cut n turn the beam, throw some big meats on there and youre set! |

I started with 74 standard, cut it up and turned it into a Baja. Now perhaps I went a bit overboard for a DD, but it's been fun, and it's on it's way to being the Baja I have always wanted. You can see it's transformation here:

| Ok I got another question is it hard to get a title for a bug if it doesn't have one ? Has anyone ever had to go this rout? |

| Oh one more question how can you tell a basic beetle from a supper beetle by just looking at . What do I look for to make sure its not a supper beetle? |

Don't know much about titling a bug with no title, I'll let others speak to that. As for being able to tell the diff, it's pretty easy: check out the front end. If you see struts, it's a Super. If it has a front beam, with two horizontal tubes tied into trailing arms, it's standard. Here's a pic of a standard (the disk brakes and spindles are not stock, but the rest is):
