I found this.

I rescued a 71 bus last night. While I was waiting for the tow truck to come pull it out of the spot it was in, about 3 hours, I saw this laying around in a pile of junk. I asked him if he'd be willing to let it go with the bus. He agreed and I got it for free. Here are some pics of the bus. I would love to post some pics of the bus, but I cant figure out how to resize the pics to fit. Yes, I have read all of the forums on resizing. I can resize some, but not all. Im still working on it.

Anyway, it is a 71 camper. All original and complete. Not a spec of rust. The under coating is pealing off and revealing perfectly shiny paint. I have let the bus go to a friend for a fair price so that I can fund my 72. Hopefully it will be enough $ to get my 72 running.

Ill keep working on getting pics posted. Anyone know anything about these bikes? What year is it? Im going to "buff that shit out", put new tires on it, lube it and ride it, patina style. Its going to look good attached to the front of my 72 when its running.

Thats what Im saying! I think I was more excited about the bike than the bus. Thats probably because I knew the bus was going to a better home and not mine. I am pumped to get to spend some $$$ on my 72 though.

cool bike, but I would have kept the 71 over the 72.........imo.

sorry, but we'll have to agree to disagree. I like the type IV engine better and have some other reasons why I like the 72. The 71 is cool though.

8) 8) it was an IMO anyhow. Enjoy what you got and what you want........who am I to second guess...........I just had bad luck with a previous 72............Can you spell F.I.R.E.? :cry: I still have bad dreams about it.
