my version of hack, would be to get a USA spec steering shaft,, maybe just the upper 12" of it or the whole thing.... you have a lathe,, make your own bushing to fit the USA shaft inside the column tube.
if the lower half of the mexican shaft is different or longer ???? then weld these together,, sleeved ,, and the weld hidden in the tube |
