I just replaced points and condesser can anybody help. Im thinking of converting the dizzy to a magnetic pic up. What is a good trouble shooting method and or any recommedations

dumb question but are you getting 12volts to the coil?

Yeah im gettin 12v at the coil or at least with a test lite its "hot" I just replaced the coil and still no spark. The voltage regultor is also "hot" so i dont think that that is the issue but thanx for the replay i can use all the help i can get haha. Im leaning more towards the points and condesser anybody know of a quick way of checking them out??? Or any other possible issue causing no spark to occur.

Make sure they're gapped correctly.

A quick and easy test is to have the engine turned so that the points are closed. With the ignition on, use a screwdriver to open the points. If they spark, they should be good.

Make sure they're gapped correctly. If they are, and you get a spark as described above, use an inductive timing light on the coil wire to check for spark. If you have spark there, try each of the plug wires. If the coil wire has fire, but the plug wires don't, replace the cap and rotor.
