SEVWA'S Silver Dollar Showdown #7
October 5 held at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Ga. (Just 2 hours south of Atlanta)
All VW Car show, swap meet and Drag Racing.

The ONLY VW Drag Racing event in GA!
Hope to see some of you there.

If anyone wants me to try to setup some type of cruise-in or anything the night before, just let me know. Email me at dlandvw2@yahoo.com and I'll work on it. I'll be at the event, can't wait. I haven't had time to even log on or be involved with anything in a while as I've been dealing with an illness in the family. I do have time now to get involved, so let me know.

Sorry hear about that! Hope everything is going well now.
I think we may try and go to the fair some on that Saturday, but if you want to get somthing together for a cruise in, just let me know.

Hotel rooms
There are no rooms in Perry, due to the fact that the Fair is happening. Please take a look at the Accommodations' link below for a list of hotels in Byron. Byron is a straight shot to Reynolds on the 4 lane HWY and you don't have to go through Fort Valley.

I'm still working on some hotels here in Warner Robins, but so far, I've talked to the Jameson Inn, 2731 Watson Blvd, Warner Robins. It's actually across the street from where we did the cruise in at Backyard Burger, and their GM told me if you call them up, let them know you're coming for the VW Event in Reynolds, they'll give you a discounted rate. Instead of $77 a night, it'll be $70. I know it's a little high, but if rooms are tight, every dollar counts. Their number is: 478-953-5522.

I'm still working on a cruise in in Byron, possibly at the Denny's, where they may give a discount or something for everyone to eat and park....I'll let you guys know if I get anything worked out.

Yes a Cruize in would be fun. I liked the Back Yard Burgers, and will be at the LaQuinta in Warner Robins this year. But it dont really matter to me where at if we can get down there in time. If there is to be a Parking lot BBQ let me know and I will bring the stuff to do an Apple Crisp.

Here are the basics for the show
Info for Saturday
- Silver Dollar will have their Quarter Mile Saturdays, gates open at 1pm, admission $10 (12 & under Free) $25 car and driver for test and tune. They may have
two classes for bracket racing, but you will have to inquire at gate about that.
- Camping and pre-show set up will be available, but not until after 6pm. Not sure when they will be done, but since they are not have a full program on Saturday, it
shouldn't be to late. You can always call us and we will let you know if you can get in to camp or setup, if you get there earlier.
- We will collect vending and spectator fees for Sunday on Saturday night, if you come out to the track and stay.

Sunday
- Gates open at 7:30 for Vendors/Swap meet
- Gates open for everyone at 8am
- Time runs start at 11am
- Show car registration ends at 12 (Registration $10)
- Awards approx at 3pm
- Gate fee $15 (12 & under free)

I know that there was going to be some guys coming down from gainesville but I am not sure on exact details
