With this style light bar.

How do you run the wires? T dont want them to show and I dont want to drill holes in my roof. I am thinking of drilling holes in the bar and running them internaly and then brining them out at the drip rail and running them inside the doors, Has anyone done this? Where the wires go in the door I will use heat shrink tubing to help prevent chaffing.
Opinions?

I wouldn't recommend running the wires through the door seal. You would be better off drilling a hole in the roof IMHO. Use a good grommet and some silicone afterwards to prevent any rian leakage.

dont drill holes in the roof until your sure you like the setup.

I had one on my baja for a while then moved the lights to the front bumber.

I was glad I didnt drill any holes.

The circle track guy is a'scared of drilling holes?!?!?

I agree with the trial run idea... rig up the wires through the door seal, and take a night lap around the block. If your happy with the lights staying up top, run the wiring along the B-pillar of the cage, and drill the hole under the roof rack where it will not be a easily seen...

Do a nice grommet and silicon ...and you'll win the 1000 for sure.....

I was just going to drill holes in my roof, but mine looked like someone was tap dancing on it. Through the bar would be a good idea, but if they're spliced, there could be shorts and thats hard to track inside. I like that stainless wire covering, but I can't find any near me.

Hey when it rains we dont race, do you know what a dirt track car does on a packed wet clay track? 360's LOL  This car is my daily driver and mornings are rough enough, dont like the idea of water dripping on my head, makes for a bad day, The light bar will be staying, already have lights on the bumper just havnt posted the new pics or the new switch pannel on the dash. Besides I just got some cool speaker that look like lights to go up there, so at tailgates, deer camp etc I can listen to tunes. The trial run will do for now and I guess I can make the grommets and silicone work, when it stops I will re-silicone. As far a running the wires thru, a continuity test can be done at each exposed end to diagnose shorts. Hope to have the trial part done tonite so pics to follow.

It takes a bit of extra wire, also a bigger gauge depending on how many lights it feeds and whether or not they are HID, but I bundled up all my wires and wrapped them in black tape so the profile would be small. Then routed all down the gutter, beneath the shroud on the back, then forced them through the "dead zone" between the interior and exterior the stock wires travel. I used a coat hanger to punch a hole in the foam and also to shove through the lead of the wires. The only thing I have to change is adding in a disconnect so I can remove the rack.
