its my intorduction. yup, im eric, im 16 years old, i live in sw florida, i like music, v dubs and my girlfrend. currently, im a sophomore in high school, and i am in the marching band. i dont work except with my dad, i am taking an automotive course in school where i can work on cars during school, so im still a learner. the only v dub i have is a 1971 v dub bus, deluxe model with the big sunroof. picked it up for free in sanibel, me and my dads project. we are looking at getting a few buggers, ones a 1969 bug convertible and the other is a coupe with no engine. if we get them than my dad is going to take the engine out of the bus and slap it in the coupe. the convertible will be mine, and the coupe will be my dads and we are probably going to sell the bus if we get them. this is my intro, and thank you.

You stumbled upon a great site. The info here is limitless. The search feature is your friend... use it wisely.

Two of my favorite areas are the vintage pics in the gallery and the vintage ads and owner's manuals.

welcome. somewhere in here is a thread with all The Samba whippersnappers like yourself in it. I did a search but came up empty. The paint fumes from all the painting i have done today must be kicking.... :oops:

i have always had this abosession with owning a v dub, and when i found my bus, i got for free btw, i jumped on it. well, its alot of work that needs to go into it and my dad wants to get some bugs so we can have them to play with and go places with, as a rememberance of his beloved 65 bug, he wants to get another.

probably going to miss the one in both, but next year ill do them, i may be able to go up in my ranger, but not a vw til i get one running, or get period. this is my bus

if anyone has a sunroof for this, i would like to know. also looking for a middle 3/4 seat, and any advice or parts for this, pm me or post here. i need help with it.
