Anyone running these? where are you mounting the reservior? The hose is to long to mount the resi to the body even if there is enough room in the wheel well to do so. I would perfer not to cut holes in the body if at all possible, any ideas?

you could just drill a small hole and run the line through, but then you have to worry about recharging and crap. just drill the hole in your body and mount the reservoir inside.

Thats what I'm thinking. Make a shock tower brace and mount the resi's to it.

Just cut the hole, mount the res. to the cage! Over the hole...just cut a piece of either leather OR wet-suit material...fit it over the hole & secure it with pop-rivits OR screws...thats how we are doing it on my 11 car build!!

Mount them to the cage, do not mount them to the shock, they will not cool if they are near the shock Piggy back is only for the cool look factor, it does not work. Are you running them on the old rule stock rear suspension? Mount them to the body then. You want them somewhere they can cool.

Yeah I have the old style shock, with stock mounting location. I am in the process of making a shock tower brace that will also serve as a reservior mount and frame horn suport. No cage in the car as of now but will happen in the next year or so. Right now I'm getting the suspension done, still waiting on Fox for my front shocks. I'm not in a big hurry this is just a play car so I can take my boys out to the races in Mojave.
I bought 5 ft of 2" dia .120 wall crew for 25$ from the local metal supply for my tower brace. I would have thought some one there would have kissed me for the F@#%ing I got  . I guess next time I'll shop around first. |

I am building a pre-runner and will be using the same stock suspension. Just try and get the reservoirs where they can get some air.
