Selling '70 bay window bus

This is the first time I've posted here, since this is the first time I've encountered a seriously unpleasant vw owner! I called on the bus for sale:

And asked him one question before he hung up on me. In his ad he states that "paint is missing" on the nose of the bus... I asked if there was bondo under the chipping paint or not. He said: "yes, the whole bus is carved out of one chunk of bondo, stop wasting my time and don't call back".
Was I out of line? What an a**hole.

You are not the first person to experience problems with this seller, I have already heard of two word of mouth terrible experiences with him. I will pass on this thread and hopefully they will share.

His price has gone from $1200 without the engine installed, up to $2000 with the motor in and worked its way down to $1400 right now. All in 6 days :shock: Maybe he should change his attitude and he could sell it for what he is asking...

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm kinda bummed cuz it seemed like a decent deal and I'm really trying to help my girlfriend find a bus (just sold my '64 :( ). Keep me posted on any news, as I'm kinda curious now!

I just realized this is the same guy that as posted 2 ads in the past with "Everett Barnes is a prick" because he used text in his ad that was setting off the scam filter, causing his ads to be auto-deleted.

So yes, he has some issues.
