I think there are 3-4 active bus flippers around here. It is what it is brother. Be happy with what you have and make it the best you can. If another smoken deal comes across your path - like your westy did, then snatch it up :wink:

You need another project like a hole in the head. Your next step is to afford a clean, unmolested, low milage, odd, valuable bus that wont need a shit ton of work, paint, rust fixing.

I know that itch, I stopped looking at the bus ads after I got the SC. I think I went through withdrawals. :shock: I perused the bus classifieds for the 1st time in about a year yesterday and prices are noticeably up. I got my three and that's the way it's gonna stay for a long time. :wink:

Nothing like shelling out prefectly fine cash for someone elses shit :roll: Im more into buying nice stuff at a higher price, only to sit there later wondering why I bought it :lol: That way I dont run a high risk when I try to sell it. I much prefur this over my old Sanford and Sons days when I had 9 piles of crap VWs in my back yard, a huge wad of crusty parts and nothing running :roll: I wasnt much older than Stuart when I came to my sences.

But on the other hand I learned alot about VWs by wrenching on all that crap back then :-k

I have my *Bay set to send me alerts of 1979 VW buses (looking for my old one)...this popped up today.

And I'm not so sure that's a good deal. There are still 5 days left in bidding. It is a N.E. truck and there could be a plethora of surprises on the under carriage. Flat black paint also hides a lot of flaws. That truck needs to be seen first hand.
