I hope those are at least new.
They aren't available new and haven't been for quite some time. Like I said, find another set.

actually, the thread is titled:
"OFFICIAL Bay whine about parts and vehicles for sale"
so it's all about whining. you can whine, defend, whine some more. as long as you have something legit to whine about or defend, it's cool. |

'Scuse me, but me thinks you asked to have this thread cleaned up? And others did report it too about the time you posted your cursing and responses to your vehicle for sale. After you said it was going then it was cleaned again... what's the point in leaving it if you sold it???
I'll make this real easy for everyone.... Posts will be removed to try and keep this thread on track. Don't whine and bitch about that.... or it's already been discussed by the GODZ.... PULL THE PLUG WHEN ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Then everyone can go find some other place vent!  |

thankfully, i don't need to....
here is a spare.......
there is an RV 'super center' not too far from me that actually has seals very close to the original seals used by vw. tons of RV's used jalousie windows. the grey is a touch off though

^a bit steep in my opinion.
Find another set.
earlier this year (july-aug) i had a pair listed in the classifieds for $150 shipped. i thought that price was high, but in my mind that is what i wanted to get for them, and of course, i was willing to entertain offers.
i even "pimped my ad" in the forums by posting in the thread about them ( http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=255345 ), hoping to generate a buzz and to hopefully capitalize on the frenzy of people wanting them. and even though there were plenty of dreamers, people who said they would love to have a set, i had no takers at my asking price, and after 3 weeks i did end up selling them for $110 shipped. i was tired of getting super low ball offers, and the agreed upon price worked for both myself and the buyer.
but it is true, they are hard to find, and i don't see any others for sale on this site at this time. whether or not that outweighs the demand and justifies the asking price for them in the ad is another story.
and for those who only read the price and nothing else in an ad, Brian does state: "Prices may or may not be negotiable. If you think it's too much, drop me an email with an offer and we'll see where it goes." |

Actually, I based the price on what I thought you were asking for your set that you had posted for sale earlier this year. I guess I was a little off. The price may be high, but I don't need to sell them, and to be honest, Jon's set was the first I have seen come up for sale here or anywhere else. I would probably adjust the price if I got a decent offer, but for now, I'll just let it ride and see where it goes.
Thanks Jon for actually reading the ad all the way to the end, I know not very many people do. |

dam jon, i thought this was the 'piss and moan' thread  honestly, aircooled guys are cheap, yet always command top dollar for the stuff they sell. i admit, i got a good deal on my seals from a good friend ( youknowwhatimean) we are talking about seals that 90% of people didn't know even exist, and for good reason, because they are a PITA to install, and don't fit very well, so no wonder hardly any made it this far. funny thing is, i am still finding parts westy's for that kind of money here in Ct, and actually, you snagged some screws out of it this summer. i guess i should have asked you for $8.95 a screw so you could install your parcel tray :-k |

It must be all them stickers on it!!!! For that price, I would have had it detailed and the stickers removed..... I love the "wide track 14" rear tires, regular 14" front tires"..... WTF is a "bowmen tube bracket" and a "3rd cylinder"??? |
