What is that white thing for, left of the door switch?

jah_B Mon Sep 15, 2008 7:22 pm

It looks like a clip for securing coax cable to the side of your house. I don't know why it happens to be right there, though.

Securing curtains for driving, maybe.

I've got them on mine.

I bet a PO had a wire secured in that at some point.

Power off the fuse box to some long missing 8 track player?

Is that a switch for the sliding door, or have I totally misinterpreted that photo? What does it do? Light of some kind? I wonder when they came in?...

A.

Not a VW or a Westfalia screw or clamp, PO leftovers is my guess.

i've seen them on 77, 78 and 79 campers. lots of buses too but on a camper it seems to be a bit rare.

It's a go-no- go gage for joints. If it fits ,reroll, if it doesn't , puff-puff give!!

Great, as I don't smoke so I'll remove it.

guys, you're being silly. That's the holder for the extra shifter cable. Those pesky things are always breaking.
