realized that October is almost upon us, and Halloween merchandise is already clogging the aisles at the local MaxiMart, so wondering if anyone has tales of their haunted VW?
and no, demonic previous owner hack jobs don't count, unless you know they're dead and still trying to drive your car....
extra points for actual apparition sightings! |

Well, this summer I was in the mountains of Vermont, and found a bay in a guy's lot.
It was in mint condition, deluxe, no rust ANYWHERE. Everything there and intact. I asked if it was for sale, and he told me it technically wasn't, because the owner had died, and so no-one really owned it. However, he runs a sort of shop, and had been working on it when the owner passed, so now it's in Limbo.
He also had a VERY nice old saab, but apparently the owner was murdered while this guy had it, same story as the bay.
I decided I didn't feel comfortable working with this guy, and ran back to my mom's car, pronto. |

I bought my Panel from a little closed shop in Mississippi. My dad bought a trans out of a Fastback. The owner said that he was working on the car years ago when the owner came up missing. They found him dead in the car....... That one was a little freaky. I didn't ask any more details.
He also had an interesting story about a ghost and a VW, but I think i'll refrain from telling that one  |

I don't know if this counts or not, and makes no sence to me at all, but still freaks me out ever time it happens
I have had my bus for 34 years now, the one thing that trips me out about her is will NOT start, you can not even push start it if the brake fluid is empty. This has happened about 5 times in the last 30+ years and not just to me!! I let my son use the bus for a trip one time and a few days later I get a call dad the bus won't start "I have check everything all it will do is just turn over. gas, voltage, timing everything checks out ok. it won't even push start" So I asked him did he check the brake fluid?
well after all the bad words and you crazzy old man crap. I get a call back wtf is that all about it started on the 1st turn. (and yes NO brake fluid in it when he opened the cap)
PS: no wireing under the floor mat and no way this should be happening |
