Can you tell me if I can put earlier fenders on a 74 Super. We want to lose the elephant feet for the 62-67 years tail lights.

I KNOW that the lights and bumpers are different, I am not a complete idiot.

Your biggest issue will be your bumpers. 68-73 used different mounts and bumpers than yours, and the 67 and earlier were different from those. Yours should have the shock absorbing mounts, the 74 was the first year for those.

Yeah, I know the bumper mounts are different too. We are putting on the t-bars so the older is good for that too....

So, aside from the bumpers and lights, will they fit?

yes just make sure you check your bolt holes and fender hole so they align up right then bolt them in

Totaly Different!!

Different bumper bracket hole pattern
Different location on the fender (late is higher)

If you read the other responses you would see my comment regarding the bumpers...

All I want to know is will the fender physically fit the body. Are the lines precisely the same, are they the same size?

Depending on if the fenders you are using are original German or aftermarket BS... if aftermarket it is common to have holes that don't line up and you have to modifiy ( enlarge the hole) or drill another up to 1/4- 3/4" off....

You have to have been on this site a bit more than you have to know when and who is joking around.... at the expense of the topic most times and not you personally.

While people do get some grief for wanting to do certain things to "their car".... that is the key IMHO... it's YOUR CAR... do what you like with it.

Yes. Yes they will...

A Cadillac front fender is "Totally" different. The ones you're planning on using are "Slightly" different. It will fit your bolt holes and match your body lines.

When someone points out that the taillights are different, and that's the primary reason you're planning on using the fenders, you have to take their advice with a grain of salt.

The only thing they didn't say was "your car is ORANGE and the new fenders are WHITE!"

Sorry for all the confusion, I guess you know how to fab T-bars that will fit thru the fenders and mount to the body, cause the old-school straight style wont work. :cry:

Oh and yes, did I say a Fatty, with mini skirt, and nerf bars looks............. :?
