| With my stock '68 front beam/drum brakes and CB 2.5" dropped spindles, the 165R15 tires rubbed when turning corners...I switched to 145R15's as one way to solve this problem. |

| On my 70 bug convertible, 165's rubbed badly when I installed dropped spindles. Ruined my fenders in a short time. |

Yes it will rub.
Heck, I've got 145R15 tires with just drop spindles and I still rub. But that is because my fender sits slightly off.
Bottom line: don't install drop spindles until you have at least 145R15 tires, or a narrowed beam. |

| I would say yes, it will definitely rub, seeing that the tire is going to be a lot more tucked than it was before. Look into some 135s! |
