has any one used this electronic ignition how is it im on a budget and want to replace my points with this also is it worth the 010 distributor
whats the perfromance differance
any recomendations

It's $100 for a Pertronix that fits the 010 and i've never seen proof of any performance increase.

i mean performance changes fron 009 to an 010 or what do you guys recomend for ignition system

You mean OO9...

The 010 is a great distributor and is most certainly a improvement over the OO9.

That is a Chinese made OO9, which is crap and a Mexican made blue coil which is crap.

Save your money.

It is really all about the motor and carb. I run a 009 with a blue coil and make incredible mileage and power, my motor has done fine the last 6,000 miles like that.

But the motor was built to run the best on the stock vacuum advance. It is all about preference. I also have dual webbers, so that direct shot into the cyl-heads makes there not be a delay of throttle response.

I don't really see why the blue coil would be considered crap though...

The Mexican made one is crap and there have been many problems. The Brazilian ones are still good.

I personally use a German Blue Coil I got new in the classified .
