My bug shifts nice and smooth. The issue I am having is a thump/clunk when the clutch disengages. Its like its taking up slop somewhere between the engine and the tires before it puts power to the ground. Does it thru all 4 gears. Taking off in first, I can 'load' it and get it to not do it on take off. Jaked up, I can't find the smoking gun. Not knowing what the inside of a Transaxle looks like, can it get that sloppy? Things to check? Better way of troubleshooting?

| Sounds like it might be the CV's. Take the boots off and take a look inside. |
