me and a good friend smitty are looking for his old vw it a 72 bought in nash tn in 1972 me and smitty will post any info we can find if you read the info that we post an could guide us in the right direction we would be greatful.we tried to call the dmv and a few other routes with no findings yet.

a little more info to go on....

Somewhere (hopefully) in Nashville there is a 1972 standard Beetle that belonged to me as a teenager. The last time I saw it was about 9 yrs. ago parked at (then) Mid-State automotive which is now O'Reilly's warehouse located on Craighead St. It was in gray primer then but was originally yellow. The bug is VERY low and has dechromed body, one-piece windows, chrome louvered running boards, stock wheels w/hubcaps and chrome bumpers. It may or may not have had a '68 decklid (ventless) with frenched plate. If you have any information on the whereabouts of this beetle please PM me.

i dont think i sold the freched deck lid with it it still had the testarosa mirrors on it and the front bumper had an emblem off the deck lid that was yellow chrome fire wall early steering wheel and the wiper switch got broke(sorry smitty)but hopfully it wil stick in someones mind the steerwheel maybe a type three wheel it also had chrome tins.check out page 7 in classifieds maryville tn look at the rearview mirrors and the dash you can see the sunbeam yellow/68 and up bugs.
