i'm in the process of getting my motor back together and i'm installing a 34 pict in place of an old 30/ it's a 71 super, my question ? where will the wires that connect to the cut off plug and the auto choke come from... this guy told me they just connect from the coil... that seems reasonable but i would like a second opinion... if so what do i do, splice in two wires from the black coil wire??? that seems to be what was there before, i found two cut wires duct taped to the back of the fan shroud???

The carb wires (one for heater element of choke and one for electromagnetic jet) attach to the positive side of the coil (the side that DOESN'T go to the distributor). If there aren't enough male terminals on the coil, you can use a 1 to 2 adapter. The back-up lights wire will also attach here.
