I have not been able to solve my fuel problem, when i drive in the city the car performs well. However, when I get on the expressway at 60 mph, the car starves and loses power after two or three miles. If you pull to the side of the road at the first sign of loss of power, the car will idle for several minutes. After this time you can accelerate again to 60 mph only to lose power after a couple of miles. I have replaced the fuel pump and fuel filters. I believe it is a problem with running the float out of fuel. Any suggestions?

Are the heat risers getting nice and warm?

x2 Sounds like icing. Or water in the gas. Or both as water tends to freeze in the lines. Does not have to be that cold either.

Icing giving problems at speed? I don't think so. Icing the car would run like shit at idle and low speed.

Either your fuel pump id on it's way out, the fuel strainer at the tank is clogged or the fuel filter is.

A long time ago I had a kink in the fuel line running from the tank to the tunnel, and it acted just as you described. Might want to check all your fuel lines for obstructions or blockage.
