| I know its crazy! I live in Israel and every part I have to buy I have to pay a ton for shiping and then when it gets here I have to pay 50% of that price in taxes! so say the part cost $100 I pay $50 for taxes  |

So sorry, no sympathy.
Like everything in life there are consequences for the choices you make.
You make choices on where to live and there is a price to pay for it. The price could be shipping or the price could be crowds of people or the price could be bad weather.
I like a parts distributor in England but I don't order much from them because of the shipping costs and the time delay for delivery. I live in the USA so I shop in the USA for the most part. I do have an English co-worker who makes trips home about twice a year and he gets little things for me if he can.
Come to North America, live in the town of one of our many VW parts distributors in Californina or elsewhere and drive to the store and pick up your parts.
Move to England, they have distributors also. There's one in Belgium too.
Living in Israel, of course shipping will be huge. The taxes you're paying?! That's your government doing that to you, don't piss at the VW parts people!
I bet your olives and olive oil are cheap though!!
You haven't seen anything yet! Wait till this financial mess dust clears and let's see what that does to prices throughout the world economy!

As PaintSum says, just be glad you don't do rods, or even 50's US cars. How about $10,000 for a set of HUBCAPS????
