Hello,
I am looking for a good program to track car mantenance for a Mac OS. I have found an older post with some options for PC, and I guess I don't have to use the mac, but would be easier. Knowing that the VW world is made up of the oddest combination of laid back fastidious grease monkey tech-heads, I'm thinking someone out there has come up with something good :D
Let me know if there are any that can be purchaced or free/home-made,
Thanks everyone!

you might find something on versiontracker.com, likely a filemaker runtime solution. i'm pretty sure i've seen a few.
i'll tell you for sure there are no repair shop programs for macOS, which is a drag because we are a mac only shop. there's a lot you can do with a database program like filemaker, but you'll probably spend more time that you'll save by writing the solution. |

Office 2008 for MAC. Or,,,,, if you have a business, Quickbooks pro 2007 or 2009 for MAC. Works for my wife's medical practice, and our bicycle shops, we use nothin' but MAC's.
Actually, we use both. And our accountants thank us daily. |

I found this:
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/10933/toytracker
It's called Toy Tracker and looks like it is what you're talking about.
Quote: ToyTracker will track maintenance, gas usage, special vehicle usage, commonly used parts, and keep general info about the car, boat, motorcycle or whatever it is you're tracking. You can track maintenance by date, mileage/km, hours, or even a user specified metric. All of this information is incredibly useful when trying to sell your vehicle, as it raises it's value. You are able to printout a listing of all maintenance and repairs done to the vehicle, and even printout a "sticker" giving general information about the vehicle to be displayed in your car's window. |

What the hell is OS 8.6.

I still support customers with old 8.x OS. Only a couple left. I still know that old stuff though.
This be some real old application you found.

haha! I completely missed that!! I remember the days when the "milti-finder" was introduced with OS 7. I even have NeXTStep running on Parallels just for the heck of it.
If you're desperate, you could then find sheepshaver, which emulates classic mac on OSX and run it there. sorry about that. |

NeXT was the bomb! I owned a NeXTcube Dimension and a NeXTslab. I wish Apple would make a cube again. I own the last Apple Cube. I want a black one though like the old NeXT. Super stealthy looking and made me feel like I was in the FBI. hehehe
Those were the days.
Now, bring me back a , Atari 400/800, Commodore Pet, TRS-80, and the Sinclair ZX81.

| I wanted the Apple cube, but couldn't justify the cost at the time. Same with the 20th anniversary mac. I'm still keeping an eye on ebay for both of those on the cheap. I got an eMate 300 off ebay with all the original papers and packaging for $50. TRS-80 was where I cut my teeth programming. those dual 5.25 floppies rocked! Never did the commodore thing, but I still have my Atari 800 in storage. |

Bento2 was just released today. It can organize all kinds of projects (not just VW).
You can add pics and tie in emails (like parts orders).
