So I am looking at wanting to do a Class 11 type bug and have a baja that has come available at a decent price, but is it possible to go back to the full body bug from the baja kit? And if it is possible, what all is involved? Would it just be more price concious to find a full body bug and start with that?
Thanks for any info/advice.

you are going to need a fully car or two to make a full body car unless you have a vw gold mine in your area. any super will work for the rear sheeting, deck lid and fenders but the front nose cone will have to come from a standard vw.

grafting the front and rear section can be done but getting them lined up correctly will be the hard part.

So basically what I am reading is, skip the baja and stick with a full bodied bug to begin with... Perfect, thats exactly what I needed to know. Thanks!

i know finding vw's in texas can be a problem. if the baja suspension, engine, transaxle and has a title is what you want then finding another body to swap might be easier.

Hmm, yeah I guess that is something to think about... in the end, its all going to be about budget, but that is certainly something to look into. Thanks!

depends on what you can find in parts. I got 4 fenders, hood, decklid, and front clip for about 150 to convert back to a full body. Just a matter of welding it all back together

Yeah thats kind of what I was thinking, welding is not something I can do, so... will be keeping an eye out for a full bodied bug to start with hopefully.
