Is anyone planning to attend the Bug Jam this year? I went several years ago and had a blast. I was thinking of heading over there either that morning or the night before (it's a 2 1/2 hr drive for me).

I wanted to see if there were any others that mabye wanted to cruise together to the event.

I plan to enter the "instead of the parking lot" class so I can get my t-shirt and dash plaque, but I'm not out for any awards :D .

i go every year i can go its so much fun the swap meet is big and lots of cars to see o and vans and a lot more :lol: :lol: 8)

I just did google maps, I didn't realize you had to come north. I guess I'll see you there. 8)

There is a small group of folks meeting probably at the Flying Jihad (flying-J) at I-4 and CR579/Mango Rd (first exit off I-4 east of I-75) to run up as a group.

I have only met one or two of the others, so it should be interesting.

The details have not been set in stone yet.

I just sent in my registration crap earlier this week...

awesome!!!! i don't plan on entering this year. all the interior is out of my car except for driver and passenger seat. i'll surely enter next year, but i'm still driving it to bug jam this year!!!! but i definetely wanna meet up and ride up with a group, that would be pretty cool.

ill be there and nope im not driven my car it still needs some more work
ill be there the day of the show i only live 40 minutes away
so i hope to see everone there and meet new people the day of the show

I am not entering any real competition. My ride is a daily driver. It has dings, scratches, peeling paint in places...
I just want the little placard and to be able to park next to someone that is not going to fling their door open and cave mine in. Plus, it is sort of like family in there. Last few times I attended, the general parking outside was real crappy....like they just mowed that pasture the day before. I do not want hunks of hay near my hot exhaust.

Don't forget to bring a few cans of food.

Edit: I entered the M8 class - park inside the show and get the goodie bag.

I'm going. I entered in the M8 dclass. I live in the Spring Hill area. Anyone else live near me that we could drive our bugs together? I went last year and had a blast. I'm hoping it will be even bigger this year.

Sound's like most of us are entering M-8. The only year that I went everyone parked wherever. Is it still like that, or will we be all grouped together by class?

nope they will be parked normal hahaha
im not to sure of that last year it was in some sort of groups so may be
they will put in groups this tear

from reading the site, looks like you can park wherever. but if your wanting to park with certain people you better come in the gate together.

X2.... I just read the rules on their site (Iguess I should have done that in the first place :oops: ). It also says that all cars must be in the gate by 10am. It would be interesting to know what percentage of show participants are also members of the samba.

i'd say a pretty good portion are member of thesamba. it would be cool if like we could get member numbers or something and put it in the windshield so you could just tell who is a member.

I plan on getting some of the stickers from Evertt, but I'm not sure if they will get here in time for the show. We could put our user names on our cars somewhere. I know my local tint shop can print up pretty much whatever I want in the form of a vinyl decal. We could get them made to fit on our vent windows, or something. It shouldn't cost more than a few bucks.

that would be cool.... how do we get samba stickers?

Click on the "home" tab at the top of this page. Once at the home page click on the "samba store" link at the top just below the "forums" tab, in the solid blue bar. Once there select "free stickers" and then follow the instructions that come up.

It's not that hard. You basically just have to send a self addressed stamped envenlope to Everett. :)

I'll do the user name thing if you want to. We'll probably be the only two dorks who do it, but hey who cares :D .
