what should I do
spray the tins myself
or get the tins powder coated the monday after bug jam
I also have a tight deadline cause I leave for school on the 13th of november
so i'm guessing you meant to say the bug CAN'T make it if you don't get the tins done.
well, that's all up to you my friend. i guess it all depends how important bug jam is to you. i mean you have a whole week to get them done. the monday after bug jam is the 10th so you'd have actually less time to get things done before leaving for school. i'd say do them now!!!!!!!!! |

I'll be there. Look for a dark grey '70 looking sedan, black 8-spoke rims. |

Ive decided to ride up with my vw mechanic and the rest of the volksaholics of naples crew for bug jam and get the motor tins and pullies powder coated on monday after bug jam
my mechanic has all the parts needed to put the top end of the motor together and is going to run it before it goes back in the bug
this week he will knock out my brakes and all the front end bushings
should be getting my lowering kit for the front by friday I hope
If you see a guy wearing a black shit with floridatruckscene.com on the back of it and a camera hanging from his neck thats me |

For the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks? They're on Dodecanese blvd. I'll try to find a link for the monthly show. |

Where did you end up parking? I was across the concrete walk from the Buccaneer Beetle/display. Unfortunately the sound stage was on the other side of that....it was ok until the friggin hoola-hoop competition. One would think they could find some other damn song to play....at least from a newer decade...
car in background (rt-top) was an oval that had been bastardized. Was supposedly in HotVWs, VWTrends, etc. Nice ride if you like that sort of thing.
The early convertible was a nice car and tastefully done but the owner was a wierdo. He just could not figure out the 'perfect' arrangement for his golf club bag....
I think my car was the only true daily driver in its class...most the other 'daily drivers' were maybe driven once a month. Shit, I put 300-600 miles a week on my ride. It has the dents, scrapes, chiped paint to back up the miles.
I had a good time, even donated blood. |

X 2 for me.
I made out like a bandit at the swap meet. I was in there at about 7:45 and went straight down to the meet. I was able to get almost everything on my list (and a lot of stuff that wasn't). I even picked up a hood scoop for $5.
Sorry bon2198 we lost track of each other. I didn't even get to see your bug :( , by the time we got around to walking through the cars you had already headed out. I'll see you next year, if not sooner.
I have a bunch of pics on memory cards at the house, I'll try and get some of them up later today. |

After we lost track of each other I wandered through the new parts stuff around where I was parked. When I last called you we had just finished looking at the cars on your side.
Anyway here a a few of the pics.

Hey all, a bunch of us from the Central Jersey Volkswagen Society made the trip down for the show again this year and weren't disappointed. A beautiful weekend starting with the party at Kips, the Bulli Brigade and the show on Sunday. We had a booth in the new parts area, across from that "Hair of the Dog" car. We were selling the reproduction "W" deck lids next to Ed Gilmore and his air conditioning kits. We had a fantastic time and you couldn't ask for better weather.
