Looking at purchasing this inverter from Cobra.

Seems like a fairly good deal for a 1500w inverter. Anyone here used one, or see any reason why not to pick one up? I'm still in the middle of the great multivan wiring project...

You probably don't need one, what do you want to run with it, 50" plasma, jacuzzi, clothes drier, small wood shop?

Nope, nothing so grand as that. Specifically to run a ceramic heater and an electric kettle (for hot chocolate of coarse  ). My son and I do a lot of skiing and this would be a much better way to have lunch and warm up than to hit the overpriced lodge. So the heater might be running for 30 min or so, my yellow top aux battery should handle that no trouble....

Well there ya go.
Get a 12 volt kettle, a heater buddy and save your money.
Plug the kettle into the lighter socket and fill it with water when you leave, and have nice hot water on arrival.
Heating with a 12 volt battery is way ineffeciant.

Or heck just bring a vaccum insulated thermos. Though of course with an inverter comes the microwave.... It's one of those things that you can get by without forever until you have one. As far as the Cobra I see no reason to not pick one up, though I've never heard of them before.
