With a stock cam? No way.

I'll be pretty happy if I turn a low 13 in my 1915. I'm sure I can turn a better 60' than you, Minami.

Well, my best 60' was 1.96. But at Silver Dollar Showdown in March, I cut a 2.00 60' starting in 2nd gear. We'll see how it does when (if) I ever get a new trans.

I've thought on that a little, and I think my stock cam/heads 1915 turbo would have run much better if I'd had some things done that I have now. I still don't know about 12s, at least not in my pig.

Why not? Throw on a set of 1.25 rockers, some basic 40x35.5 heads with standard dual springs, 7.5:1-8:1 CR and about 18lbs of boost. Maybe it wouldn't be the cat's meow, but it would definately work. I've seen an 1835 with a stock cam run 12's about 6-7 years ago in a street car. I still don't see how it's possible to run 30lbs of boost with pump gas....atleast not for very long before the pistons turn religious and get holy in a hurry.

Didn't AJ Sims have a 2275 on stock heads doing 12's?

I can tell you FIRST hand that it can be done:in perfect tune, proper engine management, and meth injection.I drive my car in this state on 94 octane pump gas.How long do you think you can keep a 300 plus hp /2054 lb car at 30 psi on the street???rotflmao.Mere seconds, bro.
On a side note, I'm not encouraging anyone to be as foolish as myself.

I never could get the stock cam motor to work. It was actually slower than it had been normally aspirated (the same 1915 but with a VZ-25 cam).
