I live in Southern California, but as soon as I finish college, I'm getting the hell out of here and moving to the U.K. :D

My Mother's family came here to the US from Balcom England in the early 1700's, fought in the Revolutionary war (New York State Regimen) Against the British, we all know how that ended up.
They also fought in the Civil war against ourselves, Yankees.

My Father's family came in the early 1900's from Keevil England (there is a RAF base there).
Does this make me British??
I'd like to visit someday when I get the time.
My girls could belong to the DAR if they were so inclined to.

You can simulate the uk in your own cali yard, by pouring a bucket of cold water over your head every morning after breakfast.

Leave your citizenship here when you leave, if you think it is so bad.

Not British but I do enjoy BBC Amercia on tv. Better comedies and series like Top Gear, superior world news. I get alot of BBC World service on public radio, also great.

Yes, all you folks with ancestors in the UK should be called Brittish Americans. If anyone calls you white you should take offense...... Or offence if you will.
