I buy in the samba classifieds a wiper/washer switch ..
Washer doesnt work (the seller told me it works..It travels to argentina and doesnt :x ).
Can you explain me how the system works (and also maybe a diagram)maybe I can repair it (the switch dont stop the water from the tank...like if the center is pulled ). |

I'll assume you have a '72 or later bug with a combo wiper/washer switch.
It sounds to me like the "mister" valve is bad, that's the part that lets water through when you pull the lever. Buy a new one, they're cheap.

One hose comes from the pressurized water tank, doesn't matter which nozzle it hooks to. The other hose goes to the windshield sprayer. When you pull the lever it simply allows fluid to pass from one hose to the other. Pulling the lever presses that little pin on the end in, allowing water to flow. Refer to the photo on CIP's site. Very simple. You'll need to remove the steering wheel and the turn signal/washer switches to get to it. |

I dont know the year of the switch (the number is 111941541c)..
Can I remove the back of the switch (the plastic part where the nozzles are located)?
I got some old wiper/washer (Its wiper is rusted and dont work...but the washer does ...)and make one switch ..? |

| Yes, that's the mister valve I linked you to above...it's designed to screw on to the back of the switch. |
